Memorial Day Weekend Tours

Service Description

This tour is offered various times on Saturday and Sunday May 27, 28 &29 12 and 3pm Saturday and Sunday with a special evening twilight tour Sunday at 7:30. Memorial Day Monday tours available at 10am and 12pm. Remember Seattle's Civil War veterans this Memorial Day at the historic Grand Army of the Republic cemetery. This tour will provide a history of this hidden Seattle treasure as well as stories of many of the nearly 500 Union veterans buried there. Special focus will be on Seattle's early Memorial Day observations that were held by the veterans in the cemetery. The observance of Memorial Day began with the Civil War veterans and endures to this day. Stand in their footsteps and remember those buried there just as the veterans themselves did over 100 years ago. The walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Cancellations only accepted up to 24 hours before tour start date and time. Within 24 hours, cancellations no longer accepted and no refunds on tour fees.
